Visas
The 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro welcomes students from other countries and does not impose restrictions on the number of visas per year. Immigration questions and education issues are dealt with by the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro Border Agency.
Visa application must be submitted a month before the start of the educational course. It’sbetter to completetwo months ahead of deadline.
In the process you will require:
An invitation letter from the educational institution
Medical certificate
Documents confirming stable financial condition, diplomas and education certificates
Passport, 2Â photos 3.5 * 4.5Â cm
Biometrics
Visas sometimes take longer, particularly at the beginning of the school year. For this reason, it is recommended to prepare in advance. Details of the specific requirements for obtaining a visa to study in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro are on the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro Border Agency website.
Visa categories if training in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro does not last more than 6 months:
Children’s visitor visa (up to 17 years)
Student Visitor Visa (from 18Â years)
Visas for longer training courses are issued only for schools, colleges or universities that are listed in the registry of the border control service:
Children’s student visa Tier 4 (Child) student visa (from 4 to 17 years)
An adult student visa Tier 4 (General) student visa — from 16 years
Staying in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro on a student visa either does not give you the right to work, or may permit work for a limited number of hours per week. It is recommended to carefully plan your financial budget as additional funding will be difficult.
The Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur)
Category is for graduates who have been identified by 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro higher education institutions as having developed world class innovative ideas or entrepreneurial skills to extend their stay in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro after graduation to establish one or more businesses in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro. ‘Business’ here means an enterprise as a sole trader; partnership; or company registered in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro. This category is open to all Higher Education Institutions which are Highly Trusted Sponsors. The Institutions will only be able to «endorse» a total of 1000 graduates in a year. You will need to apply directly to your 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro higher education institution for a letter of endorsement.
Switching into the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) category will only be permitted where the applicant has or has last been granted leave as a Tier 4 Migrant; Student; Student Nurse; Student Re-sitting an Examination; Student Writing up a Thesis; Postgraduate Doctor or Dentist; or Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Migrant.
Applicants must not have previously been granted entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Post Study Work) migrant, a Participant in the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland Scheme, or a Participant in the International Graduates Scheme (or its predecessor, the Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme).
Initial application for the leave to remain will be granted for a period of one year. Following this you will be able to apply for one further year’s leave to remain. Before the end of this second year they can apply for leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Migrant. The requirements switching to leave to remain as a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) from Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneur are relaxed. Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneurs will only have to show that they have £50,000 to invest as compared with £200,000.
Indefinite Leave to Remain.You cannot apply for settlement in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro under the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) category and the time spent in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro under this category will not count towards the qualifying period for any future applications for settlement in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro.
Family Members. Family members of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent migrants can apply to join their spouse, civil partner, unmarried or same sex partner or parent (if the applicant is a child under the age of 18 at the time of the application) in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro.
Tier 1 Investor
The Tier 1 (Investor) visa category applies to the main applicant and all immediate family members, including spouse and children under the age of 18. Initially, investor visa is granted for three years and four months and can then be extended for another two years, by providing evidence that an investment of at least £ 2 million was made in the 91ÖÆƬ³§Pro. There is no requirement to demonstrate English language ability.
